My Photography is in reality art and design. I see it everywhere, even in the smallest, most ordinary things. The light is bringing the subject to life. It can be a landscape, a model, a tree, any subject or a thing of nature. By seeing the design and composition of a photograph developing in my mind, I take the shot at the right moment. This is very exciting to me. I started to take pictures early in my life. It was black and white and I liked the shadings of grey.
When I went to art school in Germany, I learned about composition and design. After moving to Canada, my professional life as a graphic artist, art and creative director was mainly focused on photography. I was always taking photos and later had my own Advertising Design and Photography Studio business for over 25 years. I worked with the best professional photography equipment. It was all on film, but of course now it’s all digital and equipment has become easier to work with.
My photos are a large part of my life and what I was exposed to. They are my experiences, my history and memories of when I took them. I think back and can still see the moment In front of my eyes.
